Hello,

Following our message last week, we are happy to report our new website is on track (pun intended). We plan to open either on Tuesday or on Wednesday.

When we open, you will see about 1500 items for which you will be able to check stock levels, prices and full details. We want to help modellers, that is why we are taking pictures of the content of boxes and provide you with all the information you might need. Here are a couple of examples:

Ever wondered what is inside a Wills Craftsman box? You will be able to see it as we (carefully) open each box, lay everything on a desk and take at least one picture.

For Metcalfe kits, you know what the content is, however we thought providing a floor diagram would help assess whether the building will fit in the space you have.

We are as usual open to comments and suggestions. So let us know how we can improve the experience and make your life even easier.

Anyway, give it a go on Tuesday and if it does not work try again a few hours later or on Wednesday!

We spoke in the past about Model Power. They are an American brand producing an extensive range of engines, buildings, figures, accessories, working lights, both in N gauge and OO/HO scale. Most of their items can be easily used on British layouts and best of all, the prices are usually cheaper than the equivalent from other brands. They also include economy packs of 72 unpainted figures (railway workers, seated figures, animals...) Here are a few examples with a lot more having just arrived in the shop:

Finally, we have just received two new engines from Hornby: Class 52xx and Class 72xx, as well as a great BR (ex-SR) unconverted Open Second coach.

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
