On the first of July 1904, the Great Western Railway introduced an express train between London Paddington and Penzance, the train was later to be called the Cornish Riviera Express and still operates today.

There are many modellers out there that derive great pleasure and satisfaction from modelling not only realistic landscapes and track layouts, but rolling stock too, they take great pride in meticulously ensuring that their wagons, coaches and locomotives are prototypical right down to their running numbers. Of course this takes a lot of research and ultimately hard work applying running numbers that are correct for a specific era and region whilst ensuring that numbers are not duplicated.

Fortunately, sourcing the numbers is a lot easier, Old Time Workshop is a company specialising in sets of running numbers and signage for O gauge, 00 gauge, including a large selection for Cambrian models kits and Dundas OO9 gauge wagons and coaches with from most eras, regions and railway companies, so all you have to do is choose.

Modelmaster is another company specialising in running numbers. Their range is immense and covers a multitude of classes from many eras and includes a fairly comprehensive coverage of steam and diesel locomotive numbers as well as a sizable range for multiple units, coaches and wagons covering mainly 00 gauge but with a small selection of N gauge and O gauge numbers too.

With such a wide range of running numbers available, the days of running consists with duplicated or un-prototypical running numbers, is numbered!

As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!
