Hello,

Only a few days to go till Christmas, so, as we are not going to write to you before, please let us wish you all a Merry Christmas.

We shall be closed on Thursday 25th for obvious reasons and we shall also be closed on Friday 26th because as it is boxing day, we will be playing with cardboard boxes, trying to make huge buildings out of them.

On other days, we shall be open as usual, this includes Christmas Eve, Saturday 27th of December and Sunday 28th of December. Times are at the bottom of this message.

If you are still looking for the perfect present for a loved one - or yourself - please note we still do gift vouchers.

We have received numerous deliveries over the last few days, trying to make sure we have everything you will need over the next few weeks, as next deliveries will be from the 7th of January. Amongst the notable things we have received are:

- Sets of Battle of Britain planes from Airfix in 1/72nd scale. This includes 3 planes, paint and glue and we are selling it at a huge discount. Grab it while you still can.

- Several Burrell Showmans steam engines from Corgi. The pictures are self explanatory...

- Lots of Hornby coaches in OO gauge including BR (ex-LNER) corridor coaches, LNER Gresley and LNER Sleeper cars. Too many to list, so here are a few pictures:

- Various OO gauge wagons from Hornby. Once again, way too many to list, so a few pictures will give you an idea:

- And several buildings in OO gauge, including full NER building sets (weighbridge, shelter, waiting room, signal box...), model shop, butchers, newsagents...

The above is just a very short sample of everything we have received lately, there is a lot more in all gauges: OO, N and G scale to name a few! If you have time to visit us, you will see we have managed to increase our stock. We still have a few inches to go before we reach the ceiling though, meaning you can expect even more from us in 2015!

On our Facebook page, we have started detailing a new layout we are building. We post everything we are doing, step by step with full explanations. Simply "like us" on Facebook to receive the updates automatically!

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. And the car park in York Road is still free every Tuesday from 1pm so you can spend the afternoon with us. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
