IOW Cowes Terrier - Shops in OO gauge - Modellings tips and answersHello,

The wait is over. After years of waiting patiently for the release of a new Isle of Wight related Terrier, Hornby has finally released "Cowes".

It makes use of the latest tooling with lots of fine details and is suitable to depict the IOW railways from the mid 1920s to just after WWII.

They are now in stock. Click on the picture for more details.

If you model a town or city, you need lots of houses and shops. Low relief building as perfect to create a sense of depth as they are designed to sit at the back of your layout, just in front of the backscene.

Here is a nice selection of varied shops from Bachmann. They are made in resin so quite sturdy and represent typical retail shops that can be seen in most places, from a guitar shop to a curry house.
