Hello,
Don't forget to read our latest modelling tips located at the bottom to the bottom of the newsletter.
This is the time of the year when we have
one extra hour to do modelling. Make the most of it today!
If you are stuck for inspiration, you should head to WightRail 2019, held next weekend at Medina Leisure Centre in Newport (PO30 2DX - bus number 5 and 9). This will be open on Saturday 2nd November and Sunday 3rd November from 10am till 4.30pm. Entry is only £4 and free for accompanied children.
You will see lots of layouts from O gauge to OO9 including Santa's railways and shunting puzzle. The usual traders will also be there as well as the Train Doctor to help you with any problem.
Please note Upstairs Downstairs will be open as usual on these days. Whether you are exhibiting and need a last minute addition to your layout or whether visiting the show has revived an old hobby, we will be happy to advise.
Trains have always been used to move people and nothing beats the view of a train with several hundreds passengers being carried where they want to go. Manufacturers like Hornby and Bachmann have made
lots of coaches to cater to most needs in OO gauge. Here are a few to give you some ideas. The
full range is available by clicking on this link.
If your heart is into things which are a bit different, may we suggest a tank on a bogie wagon? You will agree, there is not a lot that is more unusual on a railway. They are available in two different liveries.
Obviously you also need some engines to move things and shunters are the exact thing for a small yard. Here are some on our favourite:

You can also access all the articles by
visiting this page or simply click the
link called "tips" on
our website.
Send us an email or give us a call to check
availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As
usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will
order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the
manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most
suppliers.
Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!
Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm and Sunday 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
