Hello,
With weather like we had for the past few days, you have to admit modelling is definitely back on the radar. You probably feel like staying in all day, every day apart from your weekly visit to your favourite model shop. We support you in this idea!
We are happy to report we have received our allocation of
Railway Modeller Annual 2015. As you probably know by now, this is not yet another issue of the magazine, but more like a
book that you keep, full of reference material and great sources of inspiration. It also includes a review of everything that happened during the year, in terms of railway modelling. Last year we sold out of the book in about 2 weeks, so
do not delay if you want one or two (one for yourself and one for a friend).
This is the most useless announcement we could ever make. We have received the following in OO gauge:
A4, blue livery with LNER markings, DCC fitted, with sound, available for less than £100. What more is there to say?
Sometimes we are lucky enough to finally find the product we had been looking for for years. And it happens to solve a common issue for most people. This time it is the answer to the problem of fitting lights to small kits, people or vehicles: where and how do you fit the wire? The answer: do not use any wire. We are now stocking
conductive paint: simply paint a line and you have a connection! Even better: when fully dry this can be painted over to create a truly invisible electrical connection.
For the past few years, static grass applicators have allowed to create really nice looking fields and grass scenes. However, sometimes you want to model a place that is a lot rougher than a gold course. Which static grass do you use?
Noch offers the solution with
12mm tall grass, available in various shades.
Send us an email or give us a call to check
availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As
usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will
order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the
manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most
suppliers.
Remember, you can park for free for
one hour on the High Street. And the car park in York Road is still free every Tuesday from 1pm so you can spend the afternoon with us. So no excuse not to come and visit us!
Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
