Make your station look real with seats and commuters - Latest modelling tipsHello,

Does your station look bare?

Have you got everything you need to make your station platform look believable?

You need plenty of seating for those commuters waiting for the train, vending machines for your cigarettes or drink, newsstands, little café, bins, even subway and underpass if you have a large station.

The most important step is definitely seating. No station is complete without lots of benches.

In OO gauge, if you want something ready to use, you can opt for the plastic seats from Peco, available in red or green or even the wooden finish of the Metcalfe kit.

Alternatively Langley Models provide several styles of seats made of white metal. They simply require painting and are quite sturdy:

Don't forget to add seated commuters to the benches! They are already painted and will add plenty of character to your station:

If you are in N gauge, Model Scene will provide you with basic green seats:

Or you can paint your own white metal seats from Langley Models:

And obviously, you should add seated figures. In all stations, all over the world, you can always find people waiting for trains!
