Hello,

What a show this was! The exhibition held last weekend at Medina Leisure Centre was definitely worth going to. Most of the layouts were inspirational and a few of them were out of this world. You had to see them to believe them. We do hope the organisers will be able to find more layouts of this calibre to fill the room next year. If you have missed it this year, make sure to go next year!

This week we have received the much anticipated M7 from Dapol in N gauge. They look wonderful and the
running quality is as good as you would expect from the Welsh manufacturer. Here are a couple of pictures:

Hornby has sent us the King Arthur N15 "Sir Sagramore". A very nice specimen in OO gauge fitted with all the modern commodities: DCC ready, 5 pole motor, Nem pockets, ... Anyone modelling Southern Railways should definitely consider it.

Still from Hornby Group, but this time from Airfix, we have a nice First World War bus as used in Flanders to transport the troops. This is a large model in 1:32 suitable to be displayed in your living room when completed. It is a starter set and as such includes all paints, glue and paintbrushes. Decals on it give it a very nice look as you can see:

Springside Models produces castings is plastic and whitemetal. Most modellers are aware of their OO gauge head and tail lamps but they also make nice unpainted animals in whitemetal. Here are a few examples:

Finally, did you know Springside also does N gauge castings? Yes they do. And we stock their range of head and tail lamps. This is a must-have if you want your trains to look authentic.

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. And the car park in York Road is still free every Tuesday from 1pm so you can spend the afternoon with us. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
