Hello,

A few days ago, Jim Baumann came to the shop and took lots of brass tubing. He explained they were to detail model ships he builds and he offered to send some pictures. Here are a few of them, with more on our Facebook page. Simply click on a picture to be taken there and see it in larger size.

If you model any place outside of a city centre, there will be lots of greenery. There will be wild flowers in the countryside and gardens with vegetables at the back of houses. Tasma Products make a wide range of plants, vegetables, flowers and bushes. You can see the full range by clicking here.

Here are a few of our favourites in N gauge:

And a a small selection of what is available in OO gauge:

Modelcollect is a new company making 1/72 military vehicles. There are of outstanding quality with very crisp mouldings and great detail. They also seem to specialise at the moment in unusual models so are great to complete an existing collection. You can see the full range here or simply click on the few models below:

A few days ago, we mentioned Cyber-Clean to clean your models but we quickly ran out. It is now back in stock. In case you missed our previous explanation, it is a "substance" that will absorb dirt and dust, without the need to rub or wash your model. You can mould it to the shape required to reach tiny corners and it is safe on plastic, metal, wood and resin.

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm and Sunday 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
