Hello,
Following some Internet issues last Sunday, you may not have received the newsletter sent last week. If this is the case, you can read it by clicking here.
Lots of you have tested the new search engine on our website and reported on it. If you have not done so, we strongly suggest you try it. Simply go to http://www.trainshop.co.uk and use the search bar. Here is an example when looking for "station".
Isle of Wight resident Matt Wickham, which may know from his articles in the railway modelling press, is selling one of his engines. This is a Will's White metal kit, of a South Eastern and Chatham Railway C-Class, numbered 592, as preserved on the Bluebell Railway with 5 plates etched by Guilplates in a slightly simplified full SECR livery.
The body sits on a Hornby chassis, this loco has 12 wheel pickup loco and tender, power from tender to loco is connected via a 2 pin plug. The model runs well in forward and reverse. Tender has real coal added, as well as route discs on the front for the Lewis / East Grinstead route.
Matt is looking for £160. If interested, simply contact us and we will give you his email address.
Hans Bromwich has sent us the video of his garden railway. This is a great source of inspiration for anyone wanting to go outdoors.
If the video does not work, you can access it there.
Peter and Toby Hollins are great modellers and they always delight us with their layouts. They enjoy most working in unusual scales like Z scale, T gauge and HOf.
Their latest layout is a good representation of the French 60cm gauge with a Joffre, Schneider and Crochat on the layout and a Pechot Bourdon waiting to be built. It has now been taken to 4 exhibitions and well received everywhere. They would like to exhibit it on the 11th November for the Centenary. Simply contact us if you can help and we will put you in touch
Click on the pictures to be taken to our Facebook page and access all the images.
Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.
Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street and for as long as want on the Esplanade. So no excuse not to come and visit us!
Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm and Sunday 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
