Hello,
Philip Grierson has been kind enough to send us pictures of his layout and especially a bridge. He has added some trusses to it and explained why he did it. You can read the full story on our Facebook page and see a picture of the finished article. Simply click on the image to be taken there.
This is the time of the month when we receive the latest issue of the Railway Magazine Guide to Railway Modelling. As usual it is free (you can collect it from the shop or order it from the website and pay only for postage). In this month's issue there are two articles on N gauge and O gauge as well as the usual features. Click on the picture for full details.
When you are scratch-builder, or even simply improving an existing kit
or ready made structure, you are always in need of new textures. You are
probably familiar with the plastic sheets from Wills in OO gauge, but do you know about Auhagen?
They offer an extensive range of plastic textures of high quality
including shingles, poured concrete and wood. Furthermore, they are
thinner than the Wills ones, making them easier to cut and bend. Click on any of the images below for full details:
You may not be aware of the range of reasonably priced figures in N gauge from Graham Farish. The range is not as large as what is available from Noch, however they cover the main needs and are generally cheaper. Here are a few of them.
Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.
Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street and for as long as want on the Esplanade. So no excuse not to come and visit us!
Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm and Sunday 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
