This time of the year, we are delighted to see lots of people coming from all parts of the country to spend a few days on the Isle of Wight. They usually take the opportunity to come and visit us in Sandown. If you are one them, please note we love talking to you and seeing pictures from your layouts!

Last week, we spoke about the new Peco catalogue and we quickly ran out of stock. Please note we have now received more, so if you missed out a few days ago, you can now treat yourself. Here is a reminder of what we said last week:
Peco is one of the largest manufacturers of items for railway modellers. Not only do they make track and accessories in all scales (OO, N, HO, On30, OO9, HOm, Z and probably a few more gauges!), they also own several brands such as Ratio, Model Scene, Wills and Parkside Models. Their new catalogue is more than 200 page long in full colour and contains the full range of all the brands above as well as products in development.
The 2018 catalogue is clearly laid out, very easy to use and will provide you with lots of ideas and inspiration as well as the answers to all your questions.

There are a few items that make the perfect train layout: a level crossing is one of them. There are numerous items available in OO and N gauge and they are very easy to install. The Peco system in OO gauge gives you the ultimate flexibility by allowing you to add as many add-ons as required to make the crossing as wide as needed.
They exist in N gauge as well:
They are also available in curved versions from first radius to fourth radius, in OO gauge, so your crossing can be anywhere.
If you want a bit of variety or if you prefer to build your crossing, various types of gates and barriers can be obtained in OO gauge:

As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.
Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street and for as long as want on the Esplanade. So no excuse not to come and visit us!
Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm and Sunday 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
