Hello,
Nothing can spoil a beautifully built model like a bad paint job or a cracked transfer. Learning to paint takes practice, however on the transfer side, there is a quick fix! Actually, here are three fixes:
- Micro Set: a setting solution that improves the adhesion of transfers. This can also be used to remove transfers (for instance when renumbering some rolling stock).
- Micro Sol: this will soften the decal and make it sink into the surface, giving you a painted-on look. Simply brush on top of the decal and let it work for a few hours. Do not touch the transfer when in that state, otherwise you risk damaging it.
- Micro Liquid Decal Film: this magic potion will restore old decals, making them strong enough to be used, even after decades in bad storage. If you use transfers, you need a bottle.
We have now received the latest Bachmann catalogue (edition 2018). This is the full size catalogue covering the complete range of locomotives, controllers, wagons, coaches and buildings available from Bachmann. On a similar matter we still have some Hornby catalogues in stock (only the picture below is smaller, both catalogues are the same size!). Both are a must-have if you model in OO gauge.
