Also, please note the shop will be closed from Tuesday 9th of January till 12th of January, reopening on Saturday the 13th. This applies only to the shop, meaning if you order from our website, orders will be processed as usual.
We have just received the latest issue of the Railway Magazine Guide to Modelling. As usual it is free and you can collect it from the shop or order it from the website (you pay only postage). In this issue:

We know lots of people who enjoy modelling World War II in 1/72 scale. However it is sometimes difficult to get quality models of unusual vehicles. Polish company First to Fight has come to the rescue and offers more than 50 kits. They are designed for wargaming so are easy to put together however the quality is very good. The best thing: they will not break the bank and as such as suitable to create large armies or to get newcomers (including children) interested in the hobby. You can see the whole range by clicking here and here are a few of them to get you started:
If you have vehicles on your layout, you need roads. There are several options available, if you do not want to simply paint your baseboard, the easiest one would be to use an already made road. They are available in OO gauge and N gauge, and can be found in several width, colour (black or grey) and with painted lines or unpainted, including curved and straight roads. Here are some examples:
If you are making your own road, you probably want markings. Roger Smith has produced a range of road markings with everything suitable for British roads: white, yellow and red lines, crossing lines, STOP markings, etc. This is available in N gauge and OO gauge. As usual, click on any picture to get full details.
And a few people will go a long way to finish the scene. What about a crossing patrol with a lollipop man or a set of road workers complete with their tools? They are just two of the hundreds of figures available in OO/HO and N gauge.
Finally, just a quick reminder gift vouchers are available all year round.
If you are looking for a present for someone or a beloved one does not know
what to give you for your birthday, gift vouchers are the answer. Simply
contact us for details.
Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.
Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street and for as long as want on the Esplanade. So no excuse not to come and visit us!
