Hello,

That is it. September is with us, children have gone back to school, roads are getting busier with people going to work, evenings are getting darker and the rest of day cooler. Lots of reasons to stay indoors and do some modelling! That being said, it is also great to share experience with other modellers. Someone probably knows the solution to your modelling problems. If you want to learn from others and share your skills with them, join us every Wednesday at the Isle of Wight Model Club. Meetings start at 7.30pm and is held at Sandown Baptist Church (corner of Station Avenue and St John's Road - PO36 8HB). And if you cannot come every week, do not worry: you will still be welcome!

We mentioned a few weeks ago German company Auhagen and their great plastic sheets. We have now replenished our stock, so if you missed them the first time, now is the right moment to have a look at them. At the same time, we have received lots of various kits from Auhagen. As said before, they are good quality but not expensive kits. Here are a few examples: a double footbridge that can be set whichever way you require, a fountain, snack bars and chairs, a loading set with belt and animals ramps, traversing crane, and so much more!

If you got a smoke unit like the one we presented a couple of months ago, you probably need a chimney to go with it. You will be happy to know we now carry a very nice tall chimney from Kibri. It will look outstanding next to any factory on your layout.

Talking about Kibri, we discovered they do a great set with lots of accessories and people in N gauge. This is the perfect way to instantly instill life in your layout. And for even more fun, what about adding a static caravan from Graham Farish?

Finally, we have just received the long awaited blue 2-BIL and the extra long CCT from Hornby as well as the LMS inspection saloons from Bachmann. Get them while they are still hot!

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. And the car park in York Road is still free every Tuesday from 1pm so you can spend the afternoon with us. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
