Hello,

What a wonderful day today is: not only it is Sunday so we have plenty of time to do modelling but the weather is lovely here on the Isle of Wight so you can weather your wagons in daylight and end up with the perfect looking models!

If you do not feel like weathering your rolling stock, what about making everything more life-like by adding tarpaulins? Tarpaulins were essential to secure and protect loads during transit as well as in goods yards.

Roger Smith produces a range of tarpaulin covering more than 20 different liveries from the obvious Southern Railway and GWR to the less common like Cheshire Lines. They are available in N gauge, OO gauge and O gauge. Here are a few examples in OO gauge. As usual click on any picture to get full details:

And another set of examples in N gauge:

If fitting tarpaulins seems to much work, you can also use loads which are already covered. Ten Commandments makes a wide range of such loads. Here are a few in OO gauge:

And a few more in N gauge:

Finally, it you do not like tarpaulins at all (we are not going to ask any question), please note that the range from Ten Commandments includes lots of other loads suitable for wagons, goods yards and lorries. Once again, here are a few examples in OO gauge (the range is also available in N gauge):

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. You can also park for free on the Esplanade for as long as you want. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
