Hello,

As you know we always welcome your pictures and videos so we can share them with other modellers. This is a great source of inspiration and ideas for everyone and is usually the start of discussions on the techniques to use to create specific effects.

Paul Tilbrook has just shared on our Facebook page lots of pictures and a video from his OO gauge layout. This is a construction site complete with half built buildings, cranes, lorries, bricks and workers. He took enough pictures so you can see all angles of the place and we are confident some pictures will give you ideas of what you could add to your own layout. Here are a small sample. Click on any picture to see the full set and the video.

As announced last week,  we have received the Isle of Wight terrier "Fishbourne" from Dapol. Unfortunately, by the time most of you read the newsletter they were already all gone. We have now received a new batch and have them in stock. Head to our shop to see it (it really has to be seen!) even if you are not modelling in O gauge. It is a superb model and priced reasonably. Here are a few (bad) pictures, click on any of them for full details including the fact they have a flickering firebox!

We never have enough vegetation on a layout. If you look around you will notice that greenery grows anywhere. We mentioned Peco's tufts a few weeks ago. If the range was not extensive enough, here is a selection from the tufts made by Javis. There is no scale as blades of grass can be any size in real life.

And for good measure, Javis also manufactures strips, which is suitable to "plant" buildings on a layout or to create growth in a field.

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
