Hello,

There was a technical error last week on the link leading to the video showing the professional wire stripper in action. If you have failed to access the video, here is the link again.

We have received the latest Hornby catalogue and this is great news. First, you may remember back in December Hornby saying they would not do a catalogue as they had released a "handbook". However, they seem to have changed their mind and have now released a 114 page long catalogue under a new format. It is A5 (half size of the previous one) but does include all items as well as expected release dates. The best piece of news is the price: only £3. Click on the pictures below for more details.

Talking about publications, if you have been modelling for a while, you probably remember Iain Rice's book about making the most of Wills buildings published in 1989. The book has now been reissued after being updated, revised and enlarged.

Expert modeller Iain explains the use and adaptation of Wills kits to suit your modelling needs. He covers methods of customising, painting, detailing and finishing models in an easy to understand format full of pictures and drawings. He extends the information up to scratch-building using Wills kits as base components. The book is 116 page long. Click on the pictures below for more details.

Finally, we have posted a nice video of a Gn15 layout on our Facebook page. If you are looking for something a bit different, this is a good start!

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
