Hello,

It is strange to think it has only be a bit over 6 months since our new website was launched. You are now more and more to use it daily to check our stock before coming to the shop, to order from remote locations (anything more than 2 miles from Sandown is remote ) or to simply look for inspiration.

Please note at the moment we have more than 6500 products listed. However this is only slightly over half of everything we have in the shop. This is why our dedicated team is adding new products and ranges online every day. If there is a range you want us to add urgently, let us know!

Another way to keep in touch with new items is obviously our Facebook page. Have a look if you have not visited it lately, you may be surprised by the amount of content on offer!

When you are scratch-builder, or even simply improving an existing kit or ready made structure, you are always in need of new textures. You are probably familiar with the plastic sheets from Wills in OO gauge, but do you know about Auhagen? They offer an extensive range of plastic textures of high quality including shingles, poured concrete and wood. Furthermore, they are thinner than the Wills ones, making them easier to cut and bend. Cameos are always useful on layout. They make people smile. They also keep children busy as you can ask them to spot the hunter or the bank robber. The white metal painted figures from P&D Marsh are perfect for this. And they are available in N gauge as well as OO gauge. Please note we have received a large delivery from them this week, so this is the right time to have a look! As usual, click on any picture for full details.

As the old saying goes, you need the right tool for the job! One of the biggest issues when making a building from plastic, is to get the right angles correct. Proses offer two solutions: a set of right angle holders and some magnetic clamps, cleverly designed so you can still access the corner to glue the pieces together. Those are tried and tested tools and you may have seen us using them in the shop.

Finally, with the holiday season approaching fast, we are happy to remind you we do gift vouchers all year round. They are perfect if you are unsure what to get someone.

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
