Hello,

This weekend, Bachmann will be unveiling the latest Bachmann and Graham Farish catalogues. They have not announced any models yet (or even the cover of the catalogue), but they have stated both catalogues will be full of surprises. We should receive them early next week, straight from the printers. Do let us know if you want one copy put aside for you.

We are very proud to now be resellers for the Linka system. For those of you unaware of what Linka is, it started about 25 years when a Scottish company produced a mould system to cast walls, windows, etc... Unfortunately, they were discontinued in the early 90s but have now come back to life (through an American company). As this started as a British product, all moulds are in OO gauge.

We stock the full range of moulds including some unusual ones: brick, stone, timber, roof... Each piece that you cast can them be interlocked with other pieces to produce a bigger section. The end result is very sturdy and easy to paint. Here are a few pictures showing the moulds as well as what can be produced with them.

Another week and another delivery from Hornby. This week we have two Network Rail measurement coaches. Very good looking and a must-have for any modern image modeller.

Finally, have a look at our Facebook page for the latest demonstrations of kit building as well as scratchbuilding. Most of the process can be seen live when visiting the shop.

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. And the car park in York Road is still free every Tuesday from 1pm so you can spend the afternoon with us. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
