Hello,

This week we have received a delivery from Roger Smith. In case you do not know his work, he produces lots of different printed signs, some card kits, tarpaulins and even more excitingly road markings. They are available in OO and N gauge and add a real touch of realism to any road.

Roads are great but you also need a bit of life on a layout. What is livelier than a market? Have a look at those stalls from Busch and tell me what you think. They look even better when you see them for real!

And for good measure, I also include a picture of the stadium set from the same company. This is a very nice kit, full of everything you need to recreate any international or local football match you can think of. Obviously this does not have any relevance to any current event happening anywhere in the world.

A few weeks ago, I introduced you to the Train Tech sound capsule. This battery powered device allows you to have sound in any locomotive, regardless of its age (early Tri-Ang anyone?), condition or powered method (analogue or DCC). I sent you pictures and videos, but that was not enough to really understand how great the device is so we have decided to have a working unit! Next time you are coming to the shop just ask for a demo. I promise you will be impressed!

Finally, here is a picture of the smoke generator from Seuthe. Very reasonably priced (cheaper than you think), available as a starter set or on its own, it will fit into any building (forge, factory, old country house...). It works using any smoke oil and is powered with DC or AC up to 18V so is very easy to fit and use. Here is a video of it in action and a picture of the generator itself. If the video does not work, you can see it there.

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. And the car park in York Road is still free every Tuesday from 1pm so you can spend the afternoon with us. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
