Hello
Is Lego modelling? We think so but we do not have the space in our shop so have decided to sell our second hand Lego Technic through the Isle of Wight auction room in Brading. This includes some rare and retired kits. The auction takes place on Tuesday, lots number 536 to 545. Bids can be made with the auction room or online. Click here for the first lot and click "next lot" on the right hand side to see the other ones.
Railway song of the week
Are you looking for some fun and easy projects to spark your creativity? Let me introduce you to some exciting options that will have you building in no time.
For those of you who love aircraft, Airfix has some fantastic Quick-Build kits that are perfect for beginners or experienced modellers wanting a quick project. The Messerschmitt Bf109e kit lets you build an iconic WWII fighter plane with just 39 pre-coloured parts - no glue or paint required! If you prefer something more modern, check out the Red Arrows Hawk kit. With only 31 parts, you can recreate one of the famous aerobatic team's jets. And for a bit of D-Day history, the Spitfire kit comes complete with invasion stripes and a rotating propeller. These snap-together kits are great for ages 5 and up, making them perfect family activities too.
If cars are more your speed, Airfix has you covered there as well. The McLaren P1 Quick-Build kit lets you construct a sleek supercar in eye-catching green. For something more classic, why not try the VW Beetle 'Flower Power' edition? This groovy model even comes with '60s style stickers to decorate it. And for a sporty modern ride, there's the Audi TT Coupe kit with 44 pieces to snap together. All of these car kits feature free-rolling wheels so you can play with them when finished or proudly display them on a shelf.
For those of you interested in miniature wargaming or creating fantasy dioramas, Wargames Atlantic offers some intriguing 28mm scale figure kits. Their Skeleton Cavalry and Chariots set lets you build up to 30 undead warriors to terrorize the living. If you need some civilians for your scenes, the Villagers set provides 24 customizable townsfolk from various social classes. And for a complete game experience, check out "The Last War" which includes rules, dice, and figures for a post-apocalyptic WWI setting. These detailed plastic kits require assembly and painting, offering a more advanced modelling challenge.
Wargames Atlantic has even more options for your tabletop battles or dioramas. Their "This Quar's War" game provides a complete two-player experience with 24 alien Quar figures and all the rules you need to get started. For some sci-fi flavour, try the Cannon Fodder Females set with 24 customizable futuristic warriors. And if you're in the mood for something spooky, their Zombies kit lets you build 30 undead from various time periods - perfect for creating unique horror scenes. Remember, these kits require assembly and painting, giving you full creative control over the final look of your miniatures.
Whether you're a beginner looking for an easy entry into modelling or an experienced hobbyist seeking new challenges, these kits offer something for everyone. So why not pick up a kit and start building your next masterpiece today? Happy modelling!
