Hello

Is Lego modelling? We think so but we do not have the space in our shop so have decided to sell our second hand Lego Technic through the Isle of Wight auction room in Brading. This includes some rare and retired kits. The auction takes place on Tuesday, lots number 536 to 545. Bids can be made with the auction room or online. Click here for the first lot and click "next lot" on the right hand side to see the other ones.

Railway song of the week

"Train Kept a Rollin’” is a fiery, hard-driving track by Aerosmith, featured on their 1974 album Get Your Wings. Originally written in the 1950s by Tiny Bradshaw, and famously covered by The Yardbirds in the '60s, Aerosmith gave it their own swaggering, sleazy, blues-rock makeover. Packed with Joe Perry’s snarling guitar riffs and Steven Tyler’s gritty, howling vocals, it became a staple of their live shows and one of their signature early tracks — a relentless, high-energy tune that perfectly captures the raw, untamed spirit of classic Aerosmith.

This week in history

On 17th April 1970, the damaged US spacecraft Apollo 13 made a safe return to Earth splashing down in the South Pacific.  This became a defining moment in space exploration after the crew and mission support teams working together achieved the safe return of a damaged spacecraft to Earth.
