News from your model railway shop - 5th June 2014

Hello,

Following issues over the last few weeks regarding this newsletter not being received correctly, we are now using a new platform. Please contact us if you have any problem to see the images or use the links.

This week has seen the arrival of a new set of Class 55 in N gauge from Graham Farish. They are available in three liveries and are very good engines. All liveries are currently in stock so you can see them working next time you visit us.

Also in N gauge, we have received a few 08 shunters in various liveries. Why? Because Carole like them! And obviously they are good little runners, small enough to fit on most layouts. Here are a few examples:

In OO gauge, we have replenished our stock of the iconic LMS 10000. Very impressive looking and one of the best models to have been released over the last few months.

Finally, I would like to invite you to join us next Wednesday 11th of June at the IOW Scale Model Club. Matt Wickham will come all the way from Buckinghamshire to present his layout "Horsted Keynes" based on the Bluebell Railway. He will explain the techniques he used to create everything, including the locomotives. This layout was featured last year in Model Rail magazine. You can access his website on http://bluebell-railway.webs.com/

As Matt is also involved with 3D printing, I am quite sure this will be a great evening to share skills, methods and ideas. So join us at 7.30pm on the 11th of June at Sandown Baptist Church (corner of St Johns Road and Station Avenue).

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. And the car park in York Road is still free every Tuesday from 1pm so you can spend the afternoon with us. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
