As you know, we offer free shipping with any order above £30. We wonder whether you would be happy to pay £3 extra to get next day delivery? Is it something you have had the need for in the past? You may remember Train Tech as the company that offers sound capsules, allowing you to fit sound in any locomotive, with no wiring. Did you know they also do lighting kits? They work on the same principle as the sound capsules: they are battery powered and motion activated. When the train moves, the lights go on. When the train stops, lights stay on for a few minutes and then switch off. This allows us to have coaches picking up passengers at a platform with lights on.
They are available for N gauge and OO gauge, in warm white (yellowish colours for older stock) and cold white (suitable for anything lit by neon lights).
Are you modelling in N gauge? Have you ever thought of building your own wagons? The answer exists! You may not be aware that Peco has got a full range of about 20 plastic wagon kits. They are very nice as you would expect from Peco and easy to build. They give you a result similar to their range of ready made wagons. This is great fun and a nice introduction before moving onto move complex kits. Here are a few examples:
Everyone knows Bachmann and Hornby as the main suppliers of ready made buildings in OO gauge. However, you should consider Scenix as well. Their range is quite extensive from ticket offices to farmhouses to engine sheds to terraced houses. Some of them are also available in low relief.
They are made of resin and share a common feel. Shops and pubs also come with a set of various stickers so you can customise the fronts. And now for the pictures:
