Hello,

Model railways come in various shapes and sizes. From the minute Z gauge to the massive G scale and everything in between! While it is easy to agree on the fact that larger scales like 7 1/4" gauge are more engineering than models, what about live steam engines in O gauge? Is it still modelling?

We believe it is and that is why when we got the opportunity to get a large amount of Mamod and Wilesco engines, we took it. However due to the lack of space, we are not going to keep them in the shop for long. So if you are interested in acquiring traction engines, steam engines, steam workshops, etc... please make yourself known now. What we have is in mint boxed condition. So they are equally suitable for the collector and for the person who want to run them once in a while. They are fully working models, using solid fuel. The list is too long to list here, but here are a few pictures (we have more). Once again, if no-one is interested within a week, they will go to auction so get yourself a bargain while you can!

Following several requests and due to the fact they are getting harder to get, we now stock the full range of Alclad 2 lacquers. They are airbrush only paints, already thinned to get the right consistency and designed to mimic metals. They have to be used with the Alclad primer which acts as a microfiller as well. Effects include: aluminium, steel, polished aluminium, chrome, pale gold, pale burnt metal, jet exhaust, gunmetal, etc. We also stock their Klear Kote range made to the same specifications and available in matt, flat and gloss.

We have talked about the Train Tech sound capsule several times so I will not bore you with the details but please note the Diesel version has finally arrived (nearly a year later than expected!). Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. And the car park in York Road is still free every Tuesday from 1pm so you can spend the afternoon with us. So no excuse not to come and visit us!
