Hello,

If you are a plane modeller you may be familiar with the work of Derek Barratt. He makes limited runs of painted 1:200 planes. If you do not know him, here are two pictures from his work. Click on the pictures to see a few more on our Facebook page.

Scenery is exciting. This is what creates the atmosphere of your layout. Add a few wild flowers on the side of an un-made road and soon you have recreated a typical countryside setting. If you have a garden, why not grow a few vegetables in it? Busch offers a wide (or should we say huge) range of flowers and vegetables

As usual, click on the pictures to get full details. Please note, we are redirecting you to the OO gauge version. Some of the items are also available in N gauge, but we did not want to mix and confuse anyone!

British manufacturer Javis is known for their good value scenery items. Did you know they have a range of walls that is a lot larger than any other manufacturer? From dry stone walls to brick walls to rough fencing to urban walling to ... Well, you get the idea. Each piece is about 15cm (4 inches) long and they are all slightly different, meaning you can get 10 lengths next to each other and it will not look monotonous.

We have mentioned roads in the past, but as we are talking about the countryside, what about a country lane?

Finally, military modellers and wargamers rejoice! We stock a range of accessories from Javis that you will find useful: sandbags, barbed wire, etc. They are 1/72 (suitable for 1/76 as well). Here is a selection:

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
