This is the time of the year when we are getting lots of inspiration from like minded people. This is the time of the year when we can go and see numerous layouts. Yes, Wightrail is this coming weekend, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of November. As usual the event will take place at Medina Leisure Centre in Newport (PO30 2DX). More details are available on the flyer we have in the shop.
More than 20 layouts will be there as well as a traders and the usual surprises. If you are on the Island, you have no excuse not to go. If you do not live on the Island, maybe this is a good reason to come for the weekend?
Please note, our shop will be open as usual on Saturday and Sunday. So feel free to visit us once you have seen the layouts and let us know what you think!
Rail regulations are quite clear: steam locomotives MUST display headcode lamps to indicate the type of train. Springside has got a wide range of them available in OO gauge and N gauge. If you click on any of the examples below, you will get more details well as a quick summary of the most common lamps positions.
If you are into diesel, you probably prefer headcode discs. And if you are in steam and modelling Southern Railway, then SR headcode disc is what you need. We have in stock the discs from Roxey Mouldings, in OO gauge and O gauge.
Talking about Roxey, please note we also keep in stock lots of various accessories from them: headcode stencil numbers, SECR numerals, side chain and hooks, ...
And finally, still using Roxey parts, you can give an extra level of details to your coaches with their range of grab rails! They are available in several versions to suit most needs.

As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.
Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!
Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
