Hello,

Scale modelling is a vast subject. And even if we focus on a very specific subject (say aircraft or railway modelling), there are still thousands of questions that need answers. This is why we have started answering those questions as well as providing tips and examples for inspiration on our Facebook page. Expect easy to read highly focused snippets on matter such as "what is difference between code 100 and code 75 track?", "How to add weight to wagons?", "Insulfrog or Electrofrog?", "How to do ballasting?", etc...

Have you liked our Facebook page? If not, you may be missing out on the answers to your questions!

Eddie Stobart has a cult following in the UK. Their lorries are seen everywhere all over Europe and are immediately recognisable. Numerous Stobart trucks are available in OO gauge with vehicles from various decades. Here is a small sample. (As usual, simply click on any picture to get full details):

Talking about vehicles, but this time in N gauge, we have received this week huge deliveries from BT Models and from Oxford Diecast. There is not enough space to list everything here and we have not yet entered it all on our website, however here is a picture of part of the display in the shop (the whole thing did not fit in the frame). Once again, what you are seeing are only N gauge vehicles!

And while on the subject of N gauge, you may not be aware of the range of reasonably priced figures in N gauge from Graham Farish. The range is not as large as what is available from Noch, however they cover the main needs and are generally cheaper. Here are a few of them.

Finally, please note that past newsletters can be read on our website. If you have missed or lost a past issue, you can find it online.

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
