Hello,

Please note the shop will open at 1pm on Tuesday 30th of June. Unfortunately, we will be closed on Tuesday 30th June in the morning. Sorry for any inconvenience. Obviously, the website will still be open.

This week, we have posted on our Facebook page, several pictures of a very nice 1/35 scale model of a Sherman Firefly. Its author, Sean Gage, has used various scenery materials from Busch and Heki to create the atmosphere of an overgrown piece of land. Well worth a look if you have not seen it yet.

Please do send us pictures of your work so we can share them with other modellers. This is a great source of inspiration. Simply email us your pictures, stating you are happy for us to share them.

Still this week, we have received two large deliveries of vehicles from Oxford Diecast and from BT Models. Please note, most of them are on the website, however the range is so large (we have in stock more than 1000 vehicles in N gauge and OO gauge), that it is inevitable we are missing a few online. If you are on the Island, we strongly recommend you visit the shop to appreciate the full range. Here is a taster:

Of course, if you have vehicles on your layout, you need roads. There are several options available, if you do not want to simply paint your baseboard, the easiest one would be to use an already made road. They are available in OO gauge and N gauge, and can be found in several width, colour (black or grey) and with painted lines or unpainted, including curved and straight roads. Here are some examples:

If you are making your own road, you probably want markings. Roger Smith has produced a range of road markings with everything suitable for British roads: white, yellow and red lines, crossing lines, STOP markings, etc. This is available in N gauge and OO gauge. As usual, click on any picture to get full details.

And a few people will go a long way to finish the scene. What about a crossing patrol with a lollipop man or a set of road workers complete with their tools?

Finally, just a quick reminder gift vouchers are available all year round. If you are looking for a present for someone or a beloved does not know what to give you for Christmas, gift vouchers may be the answer.

Send us an email or give us a call to check availability or to reserve anything, whatever scale you model in. As usual, if we do not have in stock what you are looking for, we will order it for you and you will get it fast (usually within a week if the manufacturer has it in stock). We place weekly orders with most suppliers.

Remember, you can park for free for one hour on the High Street. So no excuse not to come and visit us!

Upstairs Downstairs is open Tuesday to Saturday 10am till 4.30pm, Sunday from 1pm till 4pm. We are closed only on Monday.
